FAA released Star Wars-inspired video outlining basic drone rules [VIDEO]

Someone at the FAA has a sense of humor, the release of this video coincided with the release of the new Star Wars movie.

In the U.S. airspace, not so far, far away, #drones are taking to the skies. Before your next flying adventure, listen to the #force and follow these #FAA safety guidelines. #FlySafe #StarWarsTheLastJedi pic.twitter.com/vohQSuqJ8H

The Star Wars-inspired video outlines some basic guidelines to follow before taking your drone to the skies:

  • Register your drone
  • Perform a pre-flight check
  • Fly below 400 ft.
  • Don’t fly under the influence
  • Don’t fly near other aircraft
  • Fly within visual line of sight (VLOS)
  • Don’t fly over people
  • Be aware of flight restrictions
  • Don’t fly near emergencies

May the force be with you Jedi drone pilot! And safe flying!!
