DALLAS, TX -  Airsight, a leading drone detection technology and software company, announces they are working with New Mexico Tech and RedUAS to deliver counter-UAS training to law enforcement and first responders. Airsight will be providing drone detection hardware and software that will be used during counter-UAS training courses offered at New Mexico Tech's Energetic Materials Research and Testing facilities.

Airsight drone detection solution will give law enforcement, first responders, and emergency management personnel enhanced situational awareness. Knowing what is happening in their airspace is crucial to preventing and responding to drone threats. Our comprehensive drone detection platform can identify drone and pilot location, drone make/model, drone serial number, flight altitude, flight path, and other critical data.

Nick Rabenau, Vice President of Airsight said “Our drone detection solution is a valuable tool which provides real-time information and gives law enforcement the ability to determine which type of response is required for the drone threat.”

With the growing prevalence of both recreational and commercial drones in today's airspace, law enforcement and emergency crews face increasing security risks from above. Concerns over negligent drone pilots misusing drones and threats from malicious actors deploying weaponized drones continue to grow.

“Airspace awareness is a critical part of training first responders on what to do once a drone is detected.” noted Robert Tabbara, Chief Executive Officer of Airsight. “We are honored to team with redUAS and NMT for this opportunity to play a role in providing C-UAS training to law enforcement, first responders, and emergency management.”
