DJI’s impressive headquarters in Shenzhen, China is already under construction and is expected to be finished sometime in 2019. DJI choose Foster + Partners to design the new office space. Foster + Partners is the same firm behind Apple’s new ‘spaceship’ headquarters.
The ‘community in the sky’ will consist of twin towers connected by a sky bridge. The sky bridge also serves as a platform for showcasing the latest drone technology. The unique space will have several research and development spaces and a wide variety of staff facilities from state-of-the-art gymnasiums to robot fighting rings.
DJI is the largest consumer drone manufacturer and controls 70% of the global consumer drones market. The drone market is expected to be worth $17B by 2024. The new headquarters will allow DJI to continue to be a leader of invention and innovation in the drone market.
