Defining the Threat (AirSight)
AirSight opened the session by outlining the "Security Gap" in traditional perimeter defense. We discussed the specific challenges of 2D security vs. 3D airspace threats and reviewed the current legal constraints (FAA & FCC) that limit mitigation options for correctional facilities.
Visual Verification Technology (Bosch)
Bosch took the floor to present the MIC IP Fusion 9000i camera. They demonstrated how optical and thermal imaging are critical for visually verifying threats detected by other sensors, ensuring security teams aren't chasing false alarms.
Precision Radar Detection (Echodyne)
Echodyne introduced their MESA® Radar technology, which serves as the "eyes" for long-range detection. They explained how this technology tracks "dark drones" (those not emitting RF signals) and provides precise 3D coordinates.
